Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our AWS infrastructure, driving automation initiatives, and optimizing the reliability and scalability of our applications. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS infrastructure to support the deployment and operation of applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automated solutions for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and scaling of AWS resources using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Jenkins, Circle CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software releases.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability, performance, and security of AWS resources and applications.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and failover strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Lead initiatives to optimize costs, improve resource utilization, and enhance operational efficiency in AWS environments.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in AWS and DevOps.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AWS and DevOps, and recommend adoption of new tools and technologies as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure management and DevOps practices.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS,EKS, VPC, AWS DevOps tools, AWS DevOps Guru, AWS Detective, AWS Code Guru and AWS CDK.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Circle CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance best practices in AWS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desired.
